Cyber Security

Cyber Security is paramount in today’s technological landscape.

Not a day goes by without some major corporation having to admit they were hacked. Hackers are relentless and the tools that they use are getting smarter and faster. You have to do your best to stay one step ahead of them or risk losing almost everything.

Things like this happen every day but they are avoidable.

Beware of Ransomware

Does your company have to be targeted to be compromised with Ransomware?

If your business has yet to feel the sting of ransomware, it could be only a matter of time. Many small businesses (and large ones, as well) are woefully under-protected when it comes to this type of threat, which makes them easy targets for hackers. Even with a firewall, antivirus software, a secure email service, password protected accounts, and HIPAA encryption on your side; hackers can still find chinks in the armor.
At ASC we use a layered approach for detection, remediation and business continuity.

We put measures in place to make a compromise more difficult for a hacker.

Cybersecurity Training

Today, ransomware is often sent through phishing emails. These malicious attachments infect the user’s computer after being opened. These phishing emails if opened can infect your computer and then look for files to encrypt. Ransomware can also be spread through drive-by downloading, which is when a user visits a website that happens to be infected. The malware on that site is then downloaded and installed without the user even knowing about it.

ASC provides monthly training to educate your users, so they are aware of “things to look for”
